一、Teaching aims:

1.  Master the sentences: What are you doing? I’m…

2.  Understand the dialogue, and introduce themselves on the phone.

二、Teaching importances & difficulties:

1.  Importances:Use the new dialogue to communicate properly.

2.       Difficulties: Pay attention to the pronunciation of “ing”. The use of “ It’s xxx.” on the phone.

三、Teaching aids:

盘子,录音机,磁带,词卡,小球,卡纸和头饰

四、Teaching Steps

Step 1: Preparation:

1. T: Good morning boys and girls. How are you? Nice to meet you. Boys and girls, Let’s chant together, follow me, please:

What are you doing? What are you doing?

I am doing the dishes. What are you doing?

I am drawing pictures. What are you doing?

I am reading a book. What are you doing?

I am cooking dinner. What are you doing?

I am answering the phone.

  T: Great! Come on! Let’s do it again, more quickly!(师生一起拍手、做动作,齐chant

【设计意图:通过英语歌谣的形式热身,有效的营造了英语学习氛围,激发了学生的学习兴趣。并通过复习这部分的现在分词短语,以旧引新,为新课学习做铺垫

Step 2: Presentation:

1. Teach “What are you doing? I’m … .”

(1) T does the action of doing the dishes, and say:

T:   Boys and girls, look, I can do the dishes. Can you do the dishes? Let’s do the action together.

T:   What are you doing, now? What are you doing?(趁学生们都在做动作时,问该问题,教读并板书,同时学生齐读)

T:   I’m doing the dishes.(师做边动作边回答,教读并板书,学生练读)

(2) 整合句型操练

a. Practise the above dialogue in groups like the following:

Group1:What are you doing?  Group2: I’m doing the dishes? What are you doing?

Group3—Group4(Ask Ss to answer with actions)

b. practise with word cards in groups: drawing pictures, reading a book, answering the phone, cooking dinner

c. Practise in pairs.

T: What are you doing? S1: I’m –ing … . What are you doing?

T: I’m reading a book. 

T: Then who can ask and answer in pairs.(个别检查操练情况)

2. T: Let’s play a game: pass this little ball one by one, at the same time we ask : “What are you doing?” together. When I say “Stop”, the one who has the ball should stand up and answer the question. OK? Let’s begin.

Ss: What are you doing?

S1: I’m drawing pictures/reading a book/answering the phone/cooking dinner…(要求学生边做动作边回答,强调正在进行)

【设计意图:用游戏操练所学句型,激发学生们的学习兴趣】

3. The phone is ringing.(点击课件,电话铃声响起)

T:   Oh, I’m sorry. Please wait a minute. Let me answer the phone: Hello. It’s xxx. I’m having English class. I’m busy now. See you later. (点拨一下电话中如何介绍自己,突破难点)

T:   Next, practise in pairs, like this:

A: Hello!

B: Hi! It’s xxx . What are you doing?

A: I’m _____ (doing the dishes/playing football…)What  are  you doing?

B: I’m _____ (drawing pictures/reading a book…) (师先做示范,练习后,找几组展示)

 T:  Number game. Everyone has a number. E.g:

T: What are you doing No.5? 

No.5: I’m watching TV.(同时做动作) What are you doing, No.2? (课件提示已学过的动词现在分词短语,以供学生选择)

【设计意图:再次用游戏操练所学内容,让他们在玩中学,巩固知识】

4. T: Well done. Plase look at the screen.Find out the verb forms and sum up: v-ing. Let’s read together: 动词现在分词:动词原型+ing, reading/doing/drawing…表示正在进行的动作

【设计意图:让学生初步感知现在进行时这个语法知识】

Step 3: Practice:

1. T: Boys and girls, we are reading now. Do you know what John is doing, and what Sarah is doing? Open your books and turn to Page 47, let’s try, listen and tick! What is John doingAnd what is Sarah doing?

S1:  Reading a book. (点出应该用 He’s reading a book.

S2:  She’s doing the dishes.(对答案并奖励,以激发学生积极性)

2. T:   And what about Amy and Chen Jie? Close your books, please. Listen to the tape carefully and try to find out: What is Amy doingAnd what is Chen Jie doing?

【设计意图:带着问题听录音,可以提高学生学习的主动性】

S1&2: She’s reading a book/drawing pictures. (对答案并奖励)

3. T: Open your books,please. And try to follow the tape.

 4. T: Read the dialogue by yourselves, then try to act out.(师先做示范,在个别检查,带头饰角色扮演)

Step 4: Production:

1. T: SuperBoys and girls, the weekend is comeing. Let’s talk about weekend activities in groups (doing housework, having a picnic, doing some interesting activities, cleaning the room)  Let’s finish our reports in proups.e.g:

Group leader: What are you doing, xxx? Xxx:  I’m …

Ss: What are you doing--- LeaderI’m ---.

【设计意图:用小组活动的方式,拓展本堂课内容,与之前所学的动词短语结合起来,形成系统的知识体系,为以后的学习打下良好的基础】

 2. T: You did a good job. Now let’s have a rest. Let’s sing, OK?

What are you doing? What are you doing? What are you doing at home?

I’m speaking to you. I’m speaking to you. I’m speaking to you on the phone.(师生边做动作,便跟音乐齐唱)

设计意图:用歌曲结尾,让学生轻松结束本节课学习,从而进一步激发他们的学习激情,期待下一节课的到来】

Step 5: Progress:

1.      Change your pictures after class, and talk about it in groups.

2. Phone one of your good friends, and try to make a new dialogue.

教后反思

 2010年4月22,很荣幸能够参加沂南县小学高效课堂构建经验交流会活动,通过这次讲课,我收获很多,同时也认识到好多自己的不足之处,现将教学反思总结如下,争取今后再接再厉。

 我这次的课题是PEP教材五年级下册Unit4 Part A Let’s talk.本课的教学目标是初步感知现在分词的用法,能够听、说、读句型What are you doing? I’m…并能够在实际情景中正确运用。

本节课以What are you doing?为话题,以打电话为背景,让学生们初步感知动词现在分词的用法。整个课堂环节的设计完全遵循了市课堂对话教学策略:以Let’s start部分的歌谣热身,激发学生学习兴趣,营造英语学习氛围;在新知呈现环节,通过师生一起做动作,并及时提问问题,创设真实情景,将上节课所学的动词词组,整合到本节课的重点句型中,并进行了分层操练,由集体到小组,再到个别检查;之后,设计多个游戏情景,巩固对话内容。在对话教学中,设计适合小学生口味的游戏情景,是寓教于乐的好方法,能帮助教师把单调乏味的教学工作变得生动活泼,为学生在轻松自然的气氛中进行语言操练创造了条件,使学生乐而好学,达到预期的教学效果,并在最后跟学生一起总结动词现在分词的简单变化,让学生更加明朗的了解和掌握新知识;在Practice环节中,我先让学生听音回答问题,再跟读,双人合作读,最后让学生角色表演操练,以检查学生们的对话掌握情况;在Production环节中,通过让学生们动手完成小组活动的汇报表格,让学生利用已有的知识和刚学过的新句型进行交流,他们不但体验到了合作的乐趣,同时也完成了由机械操练到意义操练及交际操练的升华,达到了锻炼综合运用语言能力的效果,最后,以What are you doing?的英文歌曲结尾,在愉快欢乐的气氛中,使学生自然投入,巩固了学到的语言知识。Progress环节,让学生们课下跟自己的搭档模拟打个电话,做个新对话,进一步发展他们的综合语言运用能力。

反思自己的课堂教学,还有一些需要改进的地方。首先,要扎扎实实的上好课堂教学的每一步,要具体示范、操练到位、及时检查;其次,要开动脑筋为学生设置尽可能多,又比较好理解、符合常规的教学实际情境;另外,教师要充分发挥学生的个性化行为的作用加入,采用各种手段,有意无意地为学生设下埋伏,启发引导他们主动地去读,专注地练,兴致勃勃地模仿,自主地去发现,相互启发,并相互交流。希望自己在以后的教学过程中,不断反思,不断学习,以提高自己,更进一步。
